I am trying to open some old cwk files on my Mac OSX Yosemite, version 10.10.5. Can anyone help? I've tried opening in Word, but most of the file appears corrupted, so only part of the file has been converted. I cannot open the file in Pages. What can I do?

I've had a look at LibreOffice, and it is another Office suite similar to Word. I already have Word, and if I download LibreOffice to open the files, how can I remove it from my Mac afterwards?
Throw it away and empty the Trash.

Your call to keep or delete LibreOffice.
Sometimes, LibreOffice can open Word documents that even MS Word, or Pages cannot open. Personally, I keep it installed (725 MB), and updated as a tool for when I need it. I do not have MS Office installed.
